LORD LEYCESTER HOSPITAL
The Lord Leycester Hospital is one of the most historical buildings in Warwick. As part of the renovations thanks to a National Lottery Heritage Fund, LLH asked for a product that brought the history to life and attracted a new audience. When visiting the site I was very inspired by all the tiny details that you wouldn't notice just walking around. This zine encapsulates all of those small details in one place. Each page has illustrations and text taken from the building or records from the founding of the hospital. Users can purchase the guide and use it as a trail, spotting the small details as they walk around. A series of postcards was also created to accompany the size as an additional product. The postcard highlights some of the key pages in the zine as well as some extra illustrations that highlight further details hidden in the hospital’s grounds.
THE PROCESS
Every element in the zine takes direct inspiration from an aspect of the LLH or archives and documents relating to the hospital’s past. I love being able to bring these tiny details to life so they're not ever missed.
